Fun for the Whole Family
We were enlisted by these clients to complete their whole home landscaping; they wanted a finished product to coincide with their new house build. We worked closely with the builder to get different elements completed, including fencing and retaining walls, so that the construction of the home could commence.
Our fencing work consisted of all new post and rail fences on top of new concrete sleeper retaining walls. We also designed and installed two large gates (with hot dipped glavanised frames) at the rear of the property.
Later on during the project we also installed the perimeter (aluminium) pool fencing
To finish off around the pool and into the entertainment area, we laid 140m2 of saw cut limestone pavers.
One of the main components to this garden is the tiered Limestone block retaining walls and diagonal steps. The clients wanted something that was practical but also interesting. The blocks give a great soft look to very steep site. The garden bed, planted out with leafy foliage, create a nice touch of greenery against the limestone colour. The joins were all filled with Brighton Lite mortar for a refined finish.
Out the front of the home we continued the limestone block theme, building three terraced planter boxes which lead visitors to the front door.
The front driveway and path were paved with “Driftwood” concrete pavers, on a 100mm crushed rock and washed river sand base, finished with concrete haunch and P.L.S sand for added durability. The front garden was planted out with Magnolia trees and Acacia Limelights, along with complimentary shrubs.
To frame the large lawn we used the limestone blocks bedded into a concrete base. The clients chose to use “Sir Walter Buffalo” turf due to its durability and stunning broad deep green leaf.
As we were completing a total concept for the clients we also took care of the garden shed installation and irrigation system which included pop up sprinklers, drippers into the garden beds and Weathermatic Controller. We finished off the project by planting Wooly bush, Lomandra and New Zealand Flax in the rear garden.
We know that the clients will enjoy this garden for many years to come even as their family grows and their needs change.
